Beautiful hotel in a lovely location. We only stayed one night so didn't make the most of all the facilities. Would loved to have sat in the beautiful gardens with afternoon tea, or a cocktail! Staff very nice, breakfast room had a lovely ambience and plenty to choose from at the buffet, as well as ordering a full English. Bedroom was very comfortable, huge double bed. We were at the front, so near the road but very little noise. Fulford is a lovely village, with local pubs, although we chose to walk into the city for dinner. Yes, we paid £15 for parking for 24 hours, no problem parking, don't know why some reviews said it was difficult. I suppose it depends on how big your car is. Every effort is made to fulfill guests' needs: iron, ironing board, fan in wardrobe. The hotel has a lot of charm and character.

Honestly one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. The attention to detail is incredible and definitely what makes this hotel stand out!! The actual ground of this hotel are spectacular, gardens are phenomenal. Grapes, pear trees all very well looked after and you can just see the years of hard work. Staff are very professional and extremely friendly. Our room looked out into a small court yard filled with plants and life. Room was immaculate. Beds sooooo comfortable. Honestly one of the best to date what a little gem!! 100% coming back. Thank you for our stay.

The location is convenient, though the on-site EV chargers are quite slow (7kW), so I’d recommend using a faster one nearby if needed. Breakfast was enjoyable, but the area they served food felt a bit cramped, especially with the traffic light system in place during busy times.

Street parking was available and there is a good bus service into the City Centre, just be careful after eight pm as the buses shorten and an Uber/taxi might be more convenient. My son and fiancee claimed and even quieter and comfy three nights than we had!

We enjoyed the situation and the walk along the river to York centre. There is also a bus which stops opposite the hotel very convenient for the evening. It was particularly good value and the management were keen to pass on offers to its clients.
